Public liability and material cover are two different things…. Most sports clubs have the former but not the later. The company I work for doesn’t cover the buildings or contents, as over a decade or two the insurance costs out weigh the rebuild costs.

They obviously don’t have insurance to cover the 100’s of damaged cars they had in the compound. Like most big companies they probably cover the risk from their corporate coffers, and haven’t the millions required. Other option is they could declare themselves bankrupt to avoid the liability …….
