Re: Distortion 2 to 3 W DHT,IDHT,Multigrid idht.

So, and I say this gently. You have gone from: 1.3% 2nd, 0.32% 3rd and 0.22% 4th to 1.6% 2nd, 0.07% 3rd and 1.33% 4th Just by remeasuring the lines on the graph. Not sure I would trust any of that to be anywhere close to reality. Adding precision to a number doesn't make it any more accurate. From t...

Re: Mofo

Hmm, a lot of that added complexity would make me think that the original point of the MoFo was being lost. Also, the very different rise and fall time in that square wave display would worry me.

Re: 45 SET

Who can hear the difference between 2 watt and 1.44 watt, but maybe reducing 2nd from 7% to half is the biggest improvement you could make. Forget boutique components, this is measurable science. This is what the different loadlines look like. Getting better all the time. Biggest improvement you co...

May sound factious but describe what better is. Listen to all your music and decide what it can't do and why. Then fix that. If you can't answer that. Enjoy what you have.

Re: EL36 SE Triode from ETF 2006 build

I guess the distortion is no little its reported negative.
That's not how numbers work. Just saying.

I would. Guess the -ve indicates the distortion results in the amplitude being less than linear (0%) as opposed to greater.
