Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

I've just read about another Ioniq 5 in USA with battery damage where the quote to replace was $60K, and the car was written off. BUT, presumably insurance will cover that, and the makers warranty on the battery is 8 years, same as Tesla. Should give the owners peace of mind. Battery damage caused ...

Yep, 40 plus minutes I’ll never get back. Opinionated illogical reasoning based on ignorance. Sadly, his truth is not the truth.

Two further articles from the EV Myth Buster series. Do EV’s produce fewer emissions than ICE vehicles? https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/dec/23/do-electric-cars-really-produce-fewer-carbon-emissions-than-petrol-or-diesel-vehicles Making the switch to EV’s. https://www.theguardian.com/busine...

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

A question for Greg, do you regularly charge your Tesla up to 100% ? Never charged it to 100%. 65% for day to day local use. Only dropped below 20% once. I advance plan charging stops on long journeys and always charge to reach the next planned charge station accordingly. Early ICE motoring require...

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

But as EVs get older, and the market value diminishes, replacing a battery pack 'cos it's worn out might be a non starter. (is that a pun ?) What makes you think you’ll wear the battery out? There are Teslas out there, using their original batteries, with more than 300K on the clock. I doubt ...

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

Four great (IMHO) myth busting articles about EV’s. Do electric cars pose a greater fire risk than petrol or diesel vehicles? https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/nov/20/do-electric-cars-pose-a-greater-fire-risk-than-petrol-or-diesel-vehicles How problematic is mineral mining for electric cars?...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Tesla provide over the air updates approximately two monthly, sometimes more frequently. Sometimes it’s new features or increased functionality of an existing one. Updates can also include bug fixes just like Microsoft and Apple. A bug fix might technically be defined as a recall but I’m inclined to...

Your Maxi looks great, complete with bars above the chainguard for resting your feet on when in the top speed crouch position. How do I know?😉🤣
Love the engine assembly jig👍🏻
