Re: Nothing In Particular
A friend of mine likened Brexit as us getting in the lifeboat before a ship goes down. :lol: It would not surprise me if other EU countries follow our lead, and within 20 years the EU collapses. But you look bloody stupid when the ship doesn't sink, corrects its course and leaves you bobbing about ...

Yes, of course, though a large proportion of those who voted for the exit won't actually be around to see the long term consequences... Eh ? :) Do you mean the older (and wiser) section of the population ? I've no plans to shuffle off this mortal coil for a good while. :lol:[/quote] Yes, I think th...

Looks like you had a lot of fun and thanks to those who've posted pictures.
I'm just really sorry I couldn't face the long round trip straight after my excursion to Aberdeen.
Next time!

Steve, I'm having to fly up to Aberdeen tomorrow for work; I may have to stay until Friday, in which case I'll probably not make the journey back up to Yorkshire on the Saturday. I'll let you know later in the week.

Re: Owston what are you bringing?
I was thinking along the lines of exploring HQPlayer's upsampling (PCM and DSD) and selectable digital filters. The server comes with a library of just over 1000 CD rips of most genres. I would also bring a wired/wireless network to support the NAA device and, perhaps, a tablet for control.

Looking at HM The Queen's favourite pieces of music;

which includes a George Formby number, I'm wondering if Mr. Bass is positioning himself for a Knighthood for services to music?

Re: Owston what are you bringing?
All being well I hope to get along for the Saturday. If I do I'll bring at least one of my no-dac DACs. In case you're confused, this is DSD-only playback without using a conventional DAC chip of any sort. I'll also bring along a PC running HQPlayer so that I have some DSD to play but can also use ...

I just spotted these over on DIY Audio and thought they might be of interest to someone here - a possible bargain if he's planning to bin them? To give an idea of size as no dimensions are provided, the bass unit opening is for a 10inch drive unit. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/swap-meet/292187-unf...
