Yep, And its a real skill, I haven't got 'it'. I'm a fretted player through and through.

My partner's father was a musician and music teacher - violin, trumpet and piano - and he would say three words to you: Practice, Practice and Practice!

Guaranteed to take your mind of non-existent vibrating ...

Good job Eric von Daniken isn't around; he'd conclude that the design proves that Earth has been visited by aliens....

Then again, maybe he would be right!

Yep, Hartnell and Troughton for me too. You have to remember just how ground-breaking Dr. Who was back in the 1960s; when it came out I was around 5-6yrs old and can recall it being genuinely scary.

I can also remember being taken to the cinema to see the film with, as I recall, Peter Cushing and ...

A Dalek is one of the alien life-forms that has featured in Dr. Who since the 1960s.

Hi Mark, very interesting - keep going, it'll be worth it! Would love to hear the results in the fullness of time.

I've been trying to mail Martin using the address on his website but they keep bouncing - looks like his mailbox is full - do you have an alternative?

Inspired by Martin's push/pull ...

Ed, have you described your spheres somewhere? If not, I would appreciate a short piece on them and info on the driver used. I think I might have a use for something like them.

I was looking at the IKEA site and they have smaller versions too?

Yep, Nick's pre-amp was the 'star of the show' for me to, both sound and build quality were exemplary.

There were some good sounds on offer generally though; in no order of merit and certainly not a definitive list, credit to Steve for his OB based system, Chris for his first valve amp efforts ...

Mark, you might have started something....

After Eggborough yesterday I've been looking at the AzuraHorn website and found the prospect of a push/pull design utilising my Lowther EX4s tempting. Main problem would be getting any Azurahorns shipped over as they're over the size accepted by AusPost ...

Hi Mark, good to chat at Eggborough today and I can hear potential in your mid horns, but, I think you now owe us a full update on the status of your project....

Phew, just got home! A trouble free round trip, though the local predeliction for cooling towers is a bit confusing when you're looking for a power station.

Anyway, it was a pleasure to finally put some faces to names and special thanks to Steve for organising.

Some good sounds were to be had too ...

Well, I've just crawled out of bed for a coffee before setting off on the long trek to the wastelands of the north.

OK, so unless anyone tells me otherwise in the next 24hrs I'll be heading here:

Eggborough Power Station, Eggborough, nr Goole, North Humberside DN14 0BS

Then, as per Steve's recent post, take the main entrance, 200yds up the road then turn left.

I shall have my Transcendent SE-OTL amp with me ...
