The apple tv is just not practical having to be used with the tv and a dac. The squeezebox was ideal

Daft question, but i thought on the 813 the top cap is the anode, could the top cap lead be picking up noise from the transformers with it being fairly close to the iron on the bottom level?

I think he means double the current will be pulled from the psu as it is now running 2 output stages instead of one and the higher current being pulled is causing a higher amount of ripple in the psu
