Re: General health matters.

Yep. It's expensive but being fair, in Waitrose it's "only" £6. At the moment it's a new product and regarded as a premium one at that. Not, IMHO, show-stoppingly expensive though...

Re: General health matters.

This is the stuff we're drinking at the moment:

Waitrose sell it as, I suspect, do other members of the usual suspects...

It's ok. I can't claim that it's wonderful, but it's decent.

Claims "Strength 4", but I'd ...

Re: General health matters.

I do confess to being partial to hibiscus tea as well as thyme tea - we make both from flowers & leaves in the garden (though the hibiscus are in pots and go into the greenhouse in winter).

First got into hibiscus tea when working abroad - very nice it is too.

Thanks for the tips, I’ll have ...

Bit of a sweeping statement, that!

Using liquid CO2 aka the "Swiss water process" to extract caffeine is solvent-free and totally safe.

I went caffeine free for a few years by drinking Rooibos (red bush) as it's naturally caffeine free.
Quite a few things are, e.g. beer.

Re: General health matters.

No need to drop the coffee. Recent research shows that it’s very good for your gut.

I was advised to give up caffeine by my GP after the PSA results came back and my peeing has definitely improved since, and my head feels clearer.

I now drink good quality decaf ground coffee, usually black ...

True. We're very lucky. Lived here for over 30 years and the surgery has always rated (on patient satisfaction) as one of the top few in Kent, typically number #1 or #2. Currently is rated at 98% which makes it #2 in the county. Excellent.

Re: General health matters.

Odd. Our GP practice is generally excellent. I asked about a PSA test and they said "fine, come in on Wednesday". Had the results 24 hours later.

Very sad to hear this, initially via email a few days ago. Although we only met a few times, he was always extremely helpful, positive and encouraging in all our communication. He will be greatly missed.

Re: WD forum closing

It probably needs to be someone local and hands-on as although not complex, it's fiddly and all the tricky bits are in the detail. A lot of that detail will depend on the setup Matthew wants to use: make and model of router, switch types (if any), Windows, Mac or Linux (and versions) etc. Lots of ...
