Just so I understand correctly, the circuit should be the following: source -> [gain -> baxandall] -> power amp

Old thread but I took a lot away reading all links provided.

I’m working an octal baxandall 2-band tone control as shown in Max Robinson’s links.

I can’t seem to find a consensus on where a gain stage should go…before or after the baxandall circuit? Any thoughts?

I like the idea of harmonic ...

Hello - I have built most of the TS kits…and while I’m no audiophile, I like music…all are enjoyable kits.

Masterpiece [non-inverting - 3 active stages] has the best channel separation and projects the largest stage/image.
