Re: What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?
Humbug.
Whatever you think of Chris Martin, it's a lovely tribute to Dick van Dyke who, considering he's 99 and just won a Prime Time Emmy, is frankly amazing...
+1
If I have to be banned for appreciating Chris Martin' talent, then so be it.....see!, don't care baby bass bro.
btw...pic on ...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right This Minute?
awesome
thanks for that Nick, I hadn't come across him before. There is some mention of him doing something with Tanita Tikaram on wiki. Not sure if it was a tour or whether they collaborated. I liked her back in the day...

Re: even more lateral fets
Finally think I’ve got somewhere. It’s been a long trek since post #1 in 2018. I’ve had 18 months off due to a rude interruption with mortality, and since revisiting I’ve also had some component failures.
After chasing a fault, and exhaustive changing of every component on 1 channel, I finally ...

Re: Mofo
I'd completely forgotten about this.
here's that mofo I did with opa2134 and 3 tx buffer. I've got it apart at the mo because I've got serious distortion on one channel...and I'm sweating trying to find the cause...the bottom half of the wave goes all fuzzy..on the scope signal is clean out of the ...

echo layla digi interface - no charge
I've been updating and downsizing so my beloved echo layla has got to go and is free to anybody who would like it.
It's a prosumer studio grade digital interface with 10 in, 10 out, midi in and out, word clock and spdif in and out.

Re: Nothing In Particular
I have a Grandstream HT801 as a trial with Voipfone at the moment using our existing analog Panasonic DECT phones and will switch to a full VoIP system sometime in the next few months (not too many shocks to the system at the same time for SWMBO).
not sure if this is relevent to you jack but ...

Re: Nothing In Particular
Mine is a panasonic dect which I was glad to keep because we have 3 satellites. the grandstream is also ht801 and I cant justify changing it because it's been seamless.
The only thing I keep tripping up on is that it needs the std code for local calls....I'm sure I'll get astride that in time.

Re: Nothing In Particular
Anyone here switched from POTS (copper) home phone to VoIP and kept their old number?
I kicked karoo(kcom) out in march which meant losing the karoo phone. The new ISP allowed me to keep my router so I bought a grandstream voip interface and plugged the existing panasonic digiphones into it ...

testing
last christmas I bought a secondhand laptop to do some recording away from the studio, the bella tapes.
It occurred to me that I might resurrect the amp testing stuff using this laptop. I was intending to do the testing on the mofo, which I have decided to finish, despite the setbacks. So I used the ...
