Re: TG "The Loudspeaker" Build (Sort of)

Not sure if externalising the crossovers made much if any difference, but rebuilding with Mundorf and Audyn caps and Path Audio resistors certainly did.

Yes Colin did a great job on them, and radiusing the edges really does soften the look, particularly for a large box.

Good news Paul. I know how difficult it can be to jump through all their hoops having applied in the past for a previous partner’s child.

NOS SP10

Can’t be many of these around. Not a ridiculous price either. http://redirect.viglink.com/?key=71fe2139a887ad501313cd8cce3053c5&subId=6936725&u=https%3A//www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166599180504%3Fitmmeta%3D01HTJCXD12JY7S71YQ1SG09771%26hash%3Ditem26ca15c0d8%3Ag%3Af0sAAOSw0sVlzRni%26itmprp%3Denc%253AA...

Yes there’s firm for the road and firm for the track. :-)

Adjustability would be good, can tune to my taste

Re: Nothing In Particular

Yes. Much as I like the Beemer, I do find the firm suspension annoying at times on the crap roads we all have to drive on. On smooth tarmac it's excellent, but how much of that is there about?

Re: Nothing In Particular

Thanks Nick. The MX has a very good rep for handling on the road from what I read (As does the Boxster of course). Would love a Boxster but I think it would become wearing as a daily driver, the MX would be better in that respect.

Re: Nothing In Particular

Car keys. Bit of a sore point for me today. I've spent the last 14 months or so living with my partner in Kirkcaldy, though I still have my place in Galashiels. Been gradually moving my stuff across, and was over in Gala today picking up some bits. On the way back had gotten a few miles on my way ba...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Well, the Boxster is faster overall, but the mx5 is higher geared, and the throttle response via the ME ECU is a lot more instant. I can see that the Boxster has some filtering in the system somewhere. The Boxster seems to encourage a more "smooth" driving style, while the mx5 seems to pr...

Re: Nothing In Particular

All good. Was at Croft. Well not all good still loads to work on. Almost got the Mx5 to where I wanted it. (Much cheaper to turn into what I want than the Boxster would be). Being driven around by someone who knows what he is doing puts a stake in the ground what the car will do. I doubt getting cl...
