Re: Lamborghini 's are they fire traps .

Well I think the question is valid. All safety progress happens with such a question. But fast cars crash. Kinetic energy is proportional to the square of speed. I would be surprised if a tire failed on its own, but shit happens. It's long been known that driving to an airport is more dangerous per ...

If you wanted to use dht interstage dht 2a3 would be an obvious choice for those interstages.

Its been mentioned on here by at least myself and Jack over the years. Generally a solved problem now.

Re: Pre-amp driver

So the ratio of the 18+18 in series transformer takes in the event 27 volts of the house mains away from the primary of the power transformer and lights up two PL38’s in parallel at 90% which I think is enough. It works out exactly right for the b+ of the project.

Again, as I say, I have no dog ...

Fair enough. I just like to know why something works rather than just "its does", but that's just me.

Re: Pre-amp driver

If you are putting the secondary of the added transformer in series with the primary of the existing transformer, then I could imagine that it would sort of work if the added secondary is open, as the transformer will start to saturate if the voltage across its secondary goes much above the rated ...

Re: Pre-amp driver

I wasn't saying that putting two transformer primaries in series would not affect the voltage seen by the two transformers, of course it will, what I was saying was the difference in voltage will change if you apply a load to the secondary, and that while it may be doing what you want, I suggest ...

Re: Pre-amp driver

But as the two cores are not coupled, the 25v torroid will only reduce the voltage if its under load, the voltage out of the two transformers will be very dependent on the load on the two transformers.

I don't see that; it should work fine. I did a similar thing the other way around when we ...

Re: Pre-amp driver

About 25 v torroid secondary in series with the primary to reduce the b+ and I’m there.

Indeed but there is also the falicy falicy such that while may be fallacious to believe science it may still be correct. And I would ask if you know of a more reliable path to truth?

I think at this point we should be way past being surprised that people do stupid things and that other people have realized this and are taking advantage of that wherever possible. I think eventually some of us will have to accept that being rational (and certainly expecting rational choices ...

Very short clip of the car with the H2 engine and the Westfield with a Z1 (I think it is) engine. Both with the gear control box. It was the first shake down for the H2 engine car after spending a day at the dyno with it. Stuff to do (as there is always).
