Re: Fg810 - A Working Title

It's one of two that had anything really worth keeping in them as a future reference. Some other pages are about different types of valve oscillators circuits for radio, hastily copied from Foundations Of Wireless by M.G. Scroggie. I think what Phil and me meant was file storage, e.g. Microsoft keep nagging me to use OneDrive, ditto Apple re iCloud, I prefer my files to be on my devices here. Unreasonable of me I know. :D

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

Does remind me of an article in Used Bike Guide back in the 1990's or so - wish I'd still kept some of those copies because some of the articles were very entertaining. Entirely written by owner/riders, Frank Westworth the editor just tided up the spelling etc. and wanged them into the mag. One such...

Fg810 - A Working Title

Have today ordered Schaeffer panels, so am now financially committed (or, even more financially committed), so may as well start a topic. So far I have this, and a box of bits..... - Wood sleeve case.jpg - Recap - from 'Fig. 8.10', out of a book. Bipolar push-pull power amp, old design, 1960's - '70...

Re: Side Projects

Very interesting Ant - yes I was aware channel balance could be an issue. But I'd put up with it if it does the do otherwise. As a matter of interest, I recently L - R reversed the inputs and outputs of the EL84 amp, 'cause I suspected a slight bias towards the left and wondered if it was the pot. N...

Re: My Kubelik DAC Build

Yes. The 2 boards have a ground connection between them obviously, so there is only one +5V wire to the JL board (isolated side - red wire in pictures). I thought this was preferable to duplicating ground connections. Return current is only about 90 mA.
