Re: A little light humour
I don't think it can be Trump, because there's a very high likelihood that one of the outcomes of this warrant is that he's disbarred from ever standing again.

Re: A little light humour
I think this deserves to go in the humour section. I was watching Glenn Kirschner on Youtube this evening, for a little light legal analysis of the FBI warrant on Trump's place on Monday. Glenn pointed out the amusing fact, that Trump's statement after the raid : "After working and cooperating ...

Re: General health matters.
Was that a CAC scan ?
I keep wondering if i can just get one of those by phoning up for an appointment and paying money.
it would be good, bearing in mind my family history.
But good news Ray, all's well, it seems.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.
Thanks, but I'm not bothered about having tar on the inside of my mudguards ! No but also, the roads were mainly groaning under masses of chippings, and not very much tar. It was pretty loose and dangerous, I expect they will come down with a 'Vancouver' some time soon, though. But those kind of sur...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.
That fella should have chosen a better place to stop and have a cup of coffee. Just been out for an just over an hour on usual roads... The Horror The Horror ! They have put great swathes of tar and chippings down my favourite road down the valley. It'll be years before that's smooth again. I had to...

Re: Purifi-based monitor - options
It's the bit on page 7, analysis of figure 5 that is intriguing me. "The parallel notch filter response gives as expected around 10dB higher THD in the 1.65kHz area where the 3rd order harmonic frequency gets amplified by the SPL peak at 5kHz of the cone . The series notch is suppressing(sic) t...

Re: Purifi-based monitor - options
I'm in the same position as I was with current drive lowering distortion, at the time the Pass F2 came out. The data seems to be there, but I can't quite get my head around it.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.
Well done Ray & nice pics. It was lovely again today. I'd already done an hour on the hills on Friday, an hour & a half down the valley & back on the bike yesterday, then today did 3 hrs 12 walking, Moel Famau summit from Llangynhafal in the valley, with a different return down a rough r...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.
Yep, when men were men, looking at the mountain pass tracks that they rode up. Catch the riders with spare wheels on their backs, I'm asuming for different gearing options. Much to enjoy in that footage Ray. Loved the views of the Izoard and Galibier, those roads were primitive back then. I noticed...

Re: Purifi-based monitor - options
Nice ! I'm still trying to get my head around the detail of that paper to be honest, but I'm hoping it will sink in stage by stage. What we're talking about is a manifestation of intermodulation distortion, am i correct ? Progress here in last couple of days is verifying that an old Sony amp with 40...
