The rental costs add about £50 per month for every 5k miles per annum extra you do. Yes company cars are good tax saving

He is a sales and marketing person, hence the company car, so should have questioned him. No I take what I read on the web with a pinch of salt, you learn that from HIFI reviews :wink: The brother in laws VW puts the brakes on automatically if he comes down my road at speed as he goes past the lampp...

Confirmed with him it’s a model 3 - which looking on google confusing tells me it has one pedal, on one review and two pedals on another review. Yes unless it was using crash detection to predict what braking is required it will need manual intervention i.e. a brake pedal or lever.

A work colleague popped round to see me, in his new Tesla car. Whilst chatting I did some tyre kicking, I noticed that the car only has one pedal, asking him about it. He told me it doesn’t have a brake pedal. Did not notice which model it was. With no brake it can only rely on EMF to stop the car, ...

I always thought PR’s were superior to BR if done properly, having twice the cone area of the drivers... Moot point as two have sold. I thought It’s the cost that deters people/manufacturers from using them.

Machining some horns for a commission, they happen to be the smallest horns I have ever made strangely, will take some measurements, before they leave for their owner.

I have colleagues working on the electric plane.. it’s a marketing stunt. Could have its place in “flying cars” in the future. The real prize is to use electric motors to manage the turbo machinery instead of bleeding compressed air. Need efficient generators which is the challenge, a few % of losse...
