Re: I have bought a LOT of music this year

I didn’t mention the four versions of “Donald’s where ya trousers”, even that must below Phil’s bar

Re: I have bought a LOT of music this year
When I picked up my new music server, the previous owner left all the music on it, so I inherited around 4000 albums. I thought i had an eclectic mix of music.. but nothing like what was on this server. I tried to listen to most stuff on it - but I draw the line at brass band music and Max Bygraves ...

I will miss our chats at Owston - Colin you will be missed. It’s a shame he never got to finish his fully active speakers. His skill in veneering was second to none.

I think they are misogynist and racist, more than stupid. Big bird of Sesame Street had a better chance. The worry now is Farage is going to become important for the next 4 years. Time to buy all IC’s etc, as Taiwan may be the first casualty of the new insular American policies.

FS - Event Opals + stands
I am helping my friend Dave move some of his HiFI on, as he’s looking at moving for health reasons.
First off is a pair of Event Opal Studio Monitors, have all the cables and software, plus a pair of “ ultimate support” stands for them.

Chris
Same format as the WAM show, from the year before. Was a good show, more DIY stuff than before, some good sounding system, it was successfully IMHO, so would imagine it will be on next year. Maybe I will demo my system next year…. The Lenco’s were out in force, one guy had 3 set up playing ...

Re: Something Stirs in the Workshop
Thanks Chris. The driver has the 14khz wobble on its spec sheet in a tube, so it’s no surprise that it ends up still there.
I have been listening to those ES250 horns for a couple of weeks now, quite liking the diffused sound from an open baffle horn.
Going to try and get some Event Opals set up ...

Re: Something Stirs in the Workshop
Just finished the test horn, shipping it out for evaluation. Bit trickier than first thought as had to recontour the inner after a late change in throat angle, plastic wood filler to make the inner match, as cannot add wood. Not my finest work, as cobbled together out of the firewood box, and ...
