Re: Nothing In Particular

Tory =stupid . Quite simple really 😉 The above is a trite statement - the sort of stupid, smug, uninformed & divisive comment that fuels Trump's rhetoric. There are plenty of intelligent (and even honest) Tories, they just don't align politically with you. I've met true plonkers from most parti...

Re: General health matters.

Thats great news Ray, your luckier than me, I was passing rosè for a long while after and could not have sat on a bike seat for a couple of weeks.. Saying that I'm in a great place now.. It's been 3 weeks since my op and I haven't felt as good as do now in years.. Thanks Steve, but still a way to g...

Re: General health matters.

I had my biopsy yesterday and now have to wait for the results, around 10-14days. The procedure was quick and I hardly felt a thing, no discomfort this morning and only a little blood evident in my urine last evening and normal just now. The consultant is a keen cyclist so we had a good conversation...

Ray: You've probably seen this: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/prostate-cancer/getting-diagnosed/tests-for-prostate-cancer Yes, thanks Nick, it's one of the few bits of information I have read - I've avoided doing much research because it just feeds the negativity we seem to be drawn...

Sorry Chris, I missed this previously. I don't really have a use for the PRs. I'm thinking of using the Fostex units in some 'budget' Frugal Horns.

Yep, eye-watering to think about it but I suspect they know what they're doing.

Thanks for the sentiments, chaps.

Re: General health matters.

I got offered a cancellation this afternoon so my appointment is now next Wednesday, Nov 6th - the only downside is that the appointment is at Yeovil so a bit of an inconvenience, but a small price to pay.

chris661 wrote: Wed Oct 30, 2024 6:49 am Hi Ray,

The drivers & PRs are in their original boxes, but I'd need to find something to ship those in. I'll have a look around here and see what I've got that might work.

Chris
Thanks, Chris, take your time and we'll sort something out when you're ready - I'm not in a hurry.

Re: Having a clear-out - free stuff here.

How about: - A pair of Fostex FE166En - A pair of Dayton 6.5" passive radiators My plan there was to build a compact, high-efficiency pair of bookshelf speakers with 1x Fostex and 1x PR per side. If you don't add any mass to the PR, a 10L box will tune to around 50Hz, which results in a gradua...

Re: Concrete Baffled Speaker Renovation

I had some time today and finished scraping off the glue residue left after the veneer was removed from the MDF side panels. I also installed some 18mm dowels to brace the 'mouth' of the TQWT. Next I have to try and remove some more of the impact adhesive from the concrete sections - a wire brush se...

Re: General health matters.

I had my MRI scan yesterday. A curiously relaxing experience, I almost nodded off. Now the wait to see what is made of it. Best of luck Ray, as I'm sure your aware that mri shows areas of concern.. ie shadowing. They told me nothing until after I had the biopsy done, ...the next procedure if needed...
