Re: Nothing In Particular

I've been down to TankFest 2025 at Bovington Tank Museum today. Stars of the show were the Tiger I and Tiger II (King Tiger).

Re: General health matters.

Eight weeks after ending my chemotherapy, and two weeks after my PET-CT scan, I met my consultant last Thursday. Mostly good news in that the chemo has done a job and my prostate tumours are much reduced and my lymph nodes a lot less avid, so the plan to proceed to radiotherapy looks to still be on ...

I'm off to Bovington next week for TankFest 25 https://tankmuseum.org/events/tankfest/ - the star attraction, a 70 ton German WWII King Tiger, is on its way over from France.

Re: Celestion Ditton 15 XR Speakers

The stock internal wiring of the crossovers and drive units had seen better days and was nagging at me so this morning I couldn't resist rewiring the speakers internally with some BICC silver-plated PTFE sheathed wire that I had spare, now soldered to the crossover PCB and soldered joints replacing ...

Re: Technics SL-D3 Turntable

The Technics SL-D3 is a pretty reasonable turntable.

I've replaced all the old electrolytic capacitors with a mixture of modern electrolytics and Wima film caps (for values of 1uF or less). Given the pitch potentiometer and speed select switch a good clean with Deoxit, and I've done a general clean ...
