Re: Something Stirs in the Workshop

These horns are not intended to cover the higher frequencies and in this particular case they will be crossed over to some Fostex 925A tweeters.

Re: SSD

I’ve just bought an 2012 Mac Mini with an i7 CPU at a very nice price. Why that one ? Because its the last model of Mini that you can upgrade the RAM and storage on. So I’ve bought 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD which I will soon be installing. (Praise be for YouTube ;) ). I’ve already created a bootable...

Re: Wanted: Lovoltech LU1014D Power Jfets

Ray I’m in for the freebies too but I’ve ordered some from the Ali xpress vendor that XRK recommended. They are cheap but the shipping isn’t! Anyway you are welcome to some at cost plus shipping share once they arrive. I’m hoping someone is going to come up with a choke solution at a reasonable price.

Panzerholz

Andrew Cunningham (LT Lewis Ltd) used to be the UK distributor of Panzerholz. Andrew has now retired but with his cooperation I am making arrangements to make Panzerholz once again available to the UK hi fi community. Initially at least, I will be supplying a standard size of 530 x 498 x 25 mm. If t...

Re: Joseph Crowe

Having read Mitchco’s articles about AudioLens I’ve decided its something I’ve just got to try and use it to implement both an active crossover and room correction. I’ll be doing that with the horn system I posted about earlier. The articles are on Audiophile Style which is the haunt of quite a few ...

Re: Joseph Crowe

Joseph is actually called Troy. If things go according to plan I will eventually have some speakers based around his big ES290 biradial horns (which were inspired by the Yuichi biradials). I may also make some of the mid bass horns that he has recently posted about. I think he is currently the most ...
