Re: RTZ SDM (DSD) DAC

So my RTZ DAC now has 5 separate PSs attached and is up and running. I’m using LT3045 / 3094 regs almost everywhere but instead of just using trafos I’m using some Calex LPSs as pre-regulators. I bought the Calexi at knock down prices when they went EOL a few years back, so I figured why not use the...

WTB: Beyma TPL 150 AMTs

Bit of a long shot but I know a few people on here have played with these AMTs in the past. Aurum Cantus AST2560 and the Mundorf dipole AMTs are also of interest.

Re: RTZ SDM (DSD) DAC

A huge thanks to Tony for doing all that tricky SMD stuff and putting this DAC together for me. Over the next few days I’ll finalise the power supplies and hook it up for a listen. Really looking forward to hearing it :D

Re: Yay! New toy

Hi Tony, maybe a new project? Looks interesting. I'll read through the content later. https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/direct-digital-power-dac-ddpd.395974/#post-7272403 I think powerDACs are going to become quite a thing in the not too distant - it’s such a good idea in principle. ECDesi...

Re: WTB: short 47k, 25v caps

I’ve just found some `Cornell Dublier ones on `mouser. I searched there previously but I must have messed up the search filters.

Re: WTB: short 47k, 25v caps

I’m sure those Mundorf ones are very good, but they are a bit too pricey for me.

WTB: short 47k, 25v caps

I am looking for 4 x 47k, 25v caps, snap-in type, but they need to be no more than 50mm tall. Farnell have some but they are US stock and so they charge £16 for delivery. Anybody got any by chance?

@Ray P: Hi Ray, I sent you an email a few days ago. You may just be busy of course but it occurred to me that it may have landed in your spam folder? Cheers, Ian

Re: DAC power supplies

Yep, it’s common to all power supplies that are sold as a plug and play DIY solution. It’s not common if the power supply and regulator is integrated into the the product. I assume then Nick that is why the aftermarket PSs you make have a second regulation section towards the end if the umbilical t...
