Might be my imagination, but it seems to work a lot better than ever before. If that's true, it's most likely because half of the component values are no longer cock-eyed.

It's been on a few hours now - I made Voltage drift (warming up) about 2% - half a Volt at 25V.

Going around the circuits with the meter, the schematic and simulations intimated that the switching regulator maintains 5V over the linear regulator, and so it is, or rather, a gnat's under. The VR9-F Zeners are not wildly accurate, but doing their thing.

OK I think that's a wrap - unless any problems later.

Forgot to mention - the minimum current for the current limit range (fully anti-clockwise) is roughly 100 mA - that'll do.
Yay.
:D

That's such a impressive repair job. You should be very happy with that.

Far better than the rubbish repairs that they put on TV now.

Thanks very much for that - yes I forgot to add, I am indeed very pleased with it. Should be a nice bit of kit now. Proper job! :thumbright:

Perhaps that could be a new idea for an Audio-Talk 'award' scheme... when someones done something really 'cool' ...someone else can suggest a treat/award :)
