in a bit of a hurry at the mo, just going out of the door, but this is the crib I used to use which I think is fairly comprehensive regarding imprting models and libraries:

I think chapter 4 is the relevant bit.

Frustration over, here's what I did. The old one was sounding as though the catridge was mistracking and having checked the cart over and it being relatively new, it might be the phono. As I hate fixing things, decided to rebuild. The result seems to have got rid of the distortion which I'm very happy about.

Modelled layout in Sketchup

I made it using my slide out sleeve arrangement only having to replace the supported bit of ply in the middle from the old build. The old one had connectors on the ends which made it wider than needed so this one I wanted to have connectors on back. One day the sleeve might look good I hope. To do connectors on the back required a layout I could mirror. The ground and HT for the caps is a bit of PCB hacked about to seperate the sections glued to the main PCB. In theory, it is a low Z ground but whether that matters for audio, I dunno. It's very small which feels right.

Nice !
Some interesting things in there - is the brown slab a big silver mica ?
Are those cans with the 'K' on top some obscure caps ?

Thanks. Big brown slab is 0.1uF russian silver mica off ebay. I have a bunch more coz I thought I wanted shunt EQ and needed something like 0.3u and 0.1u but my first go at that sounded awful. Maybe another day.

Those K caps are nude BG VK 150u and 22u.

Cheers,
Stephen
