I'm having the CRV ECU upgraded on Wednesday so I'll probably be able to keep up with your KTM.
Ho hum, The Ecu firm would not let me bring the ECU in because they "needed to see the car", so I booked it in to be done.

I dropped it off this morning, and walked to Braintree railway station and got a train to Manningtree. I was sat on the platform at Manningtree, basking in the sun when I got a phone call from said ECU firm to say they could not do the job because the ECU is too difficult to get out.

So I made my way back, and they are now happy to do the job if I can arrange someone to remove the ECU from the vehicle. Unlike many ECUs my one can't be accessed via the diagnostic port.

Looks like another DIY job to get on with.

One good point is that I will save £125 by doing the remove/refit myself. :D

Music most of the day today, and none of it on vinyl. All on cd.
Is it the end of days?........

Such a hard day. We always know in the back of our minds that it’ll happen one day, but that doesn’t make it any easier when it finally does.

Sad day. We lost our last pointer 2 years ago - still can't get another dog - feel for you...

I've got the ECU out, what a job.

Not looking forward to putting everything back together. :(

Are you that desperate for a remap?

Looked into getting mine done the other week, not cheap to have it done properly- tuned to the car individually and checked on a Dyno- should give 400bhp and approx 720nm along with a gearbox remap. £650 though.

For various reasons I need an EGR delete, so while they are at it the performance upgrade is a no brainer, but mainly for the extra torque.

Yes makes sense if you have to do it anyway.

The lad’s shepherd was very dear to us all and had her life curtailed as a four year old. She left us a year after eating poisoned meat in Cyprus which probably damaged her. We have fond memories of her chasing lizards. My condolences

Not quite as daft as the levitating turntable. But almost....

Hmmm I don’t know, that seems intriguing and cleverly engineered to me. Much better than some of the lifestyle turntables we’ve seen before. What worries slightly more is the lack of user replaceable cartridge and that the financial backers haven’t received their ‘wheels’ yet! Also how durable is that multifunction centre switch.

Took the dog for a walk on Mothecombe Beach earlier. Nice evening.
