I opened this thread and at the top of the page was ' there's always keswick'

and I immediately thought 'there's always korla plankton'

and now our man in Bedford is banging on about about yellow snow 'n all......you couldn't make it up...spooky

Yeah you could... snigger.

Did you know, for example that there are two, not one, sequels to How to be Topp. I'm amazed and looking forward to tomorrow when I shall read all three...at the same time, while I'm chomping on my granolafruitmeusliyoghurtmix all washed down with lashings of strong coffee.

Yr not kidding - although not all are really worth having I expect. No.4 is essential - stunning. No. 2 , 8 and 12 have lots of good work. I haven't gone further , the CD's are actually getting quite rare & expensive. I bought Dick's picks 4 in Moab Utah while on holiday in 1999 !

Blow boys Blow - MacCall & Lloyd

Superb swashbuckling sea shanty's, and if it were a firm favourite of F.Z.s then its good enough for me.

Frank will no doubt have been impressed with references to Seaman Staines, and Master Bates.

My system must be really good, it's making me enjoy Al Stewart.

I saw it a while back, but I have a suspicion I didn't catch all of it . It was extremely good, maybe I just got an idea for my birthday ideas list - have to watch it again some time.

re. Al Stewart - best clip I've seen of him was on a c.1966 BBC programme 'Meeting point' ( think it was a regular religious-themed programme ) , it has Al playing ( really young ) at Les Cousins. This also had great ( too short ) clips of Jackson C. Frank and Weston Gavin doing a great cover of 'I am a Rock' .
