Hardest thing to do is to make the decision
I had to with my dog molly last year. Very agressive cancer with her.
Went to the vets with her, came home without her.
The missus got her for me when we moved into our first house together so she had been with us from the very start.
It wasnt a hard decision to make, i did not want her to suffer any more, but it was such a painful one.
My condolences nick

Mine too Nck.

I am in the same boat, my dog having recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and now diabetic neuropathy, which none of the vets have ever seen in a dog, and none of them know any other vets who have seen it either. :(

Had to go for an MRI at a cost of £2400 to find this out.

Nothing can be done for him. He’s still reasonably ok, but will only get worse.

I will not let him suffer though.

A while ago I purchased a used 13.8v regulated power supply.

For some reason I did not unpack it for about 3 months, and when I did the case was well bent, and did not seem to power up. :(

That was over a year ago, but today I took it apart, straightened the metal case as best I could, and looked for the fault. Seems one end of the fuse holder is soldered to a secondary terminal on the transformer, and it had fallen off.

It's now soldered back on, and there is 13.2v on the output.

If I can find a suitable connector it will be tried on the "el cheapo" preamp/buffer to see if it makes a positive difference.

Have just got esconsed in the Chesford Grange Hotel, on a cheap autumn break deal - but cor is it posh or what  I did think might be a good idea to bring some more decent looking clobber to wear. And it’s huge. Will have an explore to try to find the restaurant and bar shortly - or may get lost...

Had a quick explore, glad I’m not in 447, on the attic floor right up the end.

He’s learned a lot since his girlfriend told him that. Apart from anything else, he’s marrying her.

Blimey another Travelodge... Newbury Berks arf arf. I'm in a little Nepali restaurant enjoying a Rebus novel and since the first sip of Cobra bloody American loud business men and about 28 18 year olds have joined the throng.
Only one thing for it. More Cobra! Across the road is a pub called the Monument where I first snogged Lorraine Gallagher. If you knew Lorraine Gallagher you'd understand....

This amused me quite lot:
