First time I played it in the car, I thought - this will be one of my very favourite albums now. It just took the beginning of 'Hazy Jane II' to tell me it was something very special.

Seth lakeman - poor mans heaven
I have most of his albums after I was lent freedom fields and had the song 1643 stuck in my head for weeks. Very talented guy, and someone I would love to go and see live

Seth Lakeman is currently a member of Bob Plant's band, both on the new album "Carry Fire" (release is tomorrow), and on the tour.
Seth is also doing the support slot on the tour.

you're jeopardising my bank balance now Chris, please stop it...

I saw the space shifters at city hall last year, or was it the year before.....twas awesome...I remember thinking it's impossible not to like when legends do gigs that are totally informal and almost amateurish in presentation...awesome....I think I much prefer a warts'n'all presentation to one thats polished and faultless.....I'm wandering off topic

The Selecter - Daylight. Pauline and Arthur back on form. Jools Holland guests on a couple of tracks. Rocksteady rather than ska but none the worse for that. 8)

Neville Staples - The Return of Judge Roughneck. Ex Special produces a cracking set.
Sgt. Baker started talkin’ with a Bullhorn in his hand.

I saw him some time ago at a local small venue. I really enjoyed his first couple of numbers, but as the gig went on, I found all the songs to be much the same. Still, everyone to their own and this was quite a long time ago.
