#1 Mouse vs Philip.
After successfully catching 4 mice in the humane trap, mouse number 5 is proving elusive.
He/she is clever enough to tip the trap on its side and extricate the chocco biccy. Its happened 3 times now, and last time I had my record weight on the trap.
I dropped one of my humane traps and broke it , so down to just one now.
Yesterday I ordered one more humane trap, and two non humane traps of a design I've not seen before, they should all be here by Friday.
In the meantime I've baited the last trap, and weighed it down with two small stone blocks. If the mouse moves the trap tonight he/she must be doing a Charles Atlas weightlifting course.

Get a cat. By the sound of it, a cat would be less bother and far cheaper...

I'd have the house apart looking for where they are entering..
I have never had a mouse in any of my houses, I do all my own plumbing /bulding/etc work so I have always ensured there is nowhere anything can get.
I'd check where the plumbing comes in under/ behind the sink unit 1st if it the kitchen they are in.

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Do they break the little bugger's neck with a less alarming snap?
You need a collection of these

You could get a cat, or a jack Russell - that way the meeces will bugger off of their own accord.

My money is on the mice!
Wouldn't be surprised if they're the ones selling the traps Phil keeps buying.

The mouse won again last night.
The trap was well weighted down, but the little bugger still managed to get the fake kitkat out.
I've tested the trap and it seems to work as it should.
I've got 9 traps on order (3 sorts) so by the weekend I'll have 10 traps to hand.

GET
A
CAT
Hint: The cat wins every time...
I know you said it's not an option, maybe temporarily "borrow" one from a neighbour...
