Mouse vs Philip.

I relate cats to caesar at the auditorium....
they only torment the mice until the mice don't play anymore

Got up for a pee about 2:45, and whilst I was up checked the trap, result !!.
Another mouse caught, number 5. So, I got dressed and took it up the road about 1/4 mile and let it out. I know it's got little chance of survival but I could not kill it.
Got home and reset the trap, then put kettle on as I don't feel tired now. Probably will browse YouTube looking at cars with big V8 engine conversions.

You do know mice can find their way back Phil? I’d start tagging them, you may be re-catching the sameness one! 1/4 mile may not be far enough away...

I did wonder.
When the new traps get here any caught ones will go out in a coffin.
I've started making a batch.

Mouse coffins?
You have lost it!
Chuck the bodies on the garden and give a free meal to the local wildlife.

Have some respect Chris, I'm a very sensitive soul when it comes to loss of life. The Stratmangler wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 11:33 am Mouse coffins?

You're quite prepared to take a live one far away from your house, only to release it to almost certain death.
Which makes you a murderer

Snapping necks to order?
At least it's quick.
I'm serious about chucking the bodies on the garden - scavengers will polish 'em off.

If SWMBO is allergic to cats, have you thought about getting a pet python?
Ball pythons are quite small - reticulated ones might, quite literally, be overkill

That's the sort of tactic Tom uses to get Jerry. We all know what tends to happen to Tom!
Re- 1/4 mile not far enough. I wonder if driving a couple of miles could be deemed to be an unnecessary journey.
Good for you using humane traps. I caught five too a while back.
