Hi Steve,
The product in the demonstration is a Italian Product.
What are the UK equivalents you may know of ?
I have a Pitted Chrome Plated Case I intend on rejuvenating, the scrunched Aluminium Foil, is not getting the job done.

There are just standard buffing wheels that come in sorts of sizes + all the difference compounds..
Once you get your around what is used with what , and you get a good bench grinder your off..

I'm not a metalworker in any shape or form, so these are genuine, if basic, questions!

Am I right in thinking that the part was originally chromed but now very dull? And disk 1 with cutting compound was to get the "bloom" off? Then disk 2 with much finer compound polished it up? And finally disk 3 buffed it, presumably with something very fine or a proprietary product that polished/"rechromed"?

Or am I miles off?

I am a bit out of touch with the coatings used on metal parts belonging to machines.
The part in the video being polished looks to be from a Motorbike Engine.
Are you looking to rejuvenate a particular part.

My own need, is to treat my first owned Valve Amp's Chrome Case, it has Pitts showing near the perforations in the Casing.

I remember way back (actually in the 1970s) racing bike parts tended to have a natural metal finish - loads of stuff is anodised black and various other colours nowadays - and we used to spend ages polishing wheels, chainsets etc. with this stuff;

Looked nice but it was hard to maintain the polish!

Morning John, how are you getting on with the roller bike trainer ?

At the moment, when I've finished with the producing information for my Company.
I have been getting out with a Camera and attempting to capture images of the Kestrels that are nesting.
They are aloof and extremely aware of their local environment.
I am now putting on a Ghillie Suit, to improve on the Stealth.
When I got my Owl Shots a few years back, it took a few months of once / twice weekly stealth games to get within 5ish metres of a perch it was using.
The Kestrel have a nest that I can get reasonably close to, about 20ish mtrs, but there is cover obscuring the view into the entry for the nest.
The opportunity to get a close up image of either the Male or the Female will be a long game of waiting for the ideal split second to release the shutter.
When I'm out doing this on the land, not much about the present situation creeps in, and I'll settle for that.

There is over a Kilo of Beef in the fridge and a pint of Ale awaiting the pie session, so I'm sort of on track with some projects.
