#1 Clock and watch enthusiasts ?

Post by pre65 »

Have we any budding horologists on here ?

I'm trying to find some information on my Grandfathers pocket watch, but so far Google has not been much help.

The case is gold, with a Swiss movement and 1890 . The maker is W Lancaster from Bradford. Could be Herbert W Lancaster of 70 Carlisle road Bradford from an 1890s business directory.

I think that jewellers often bought fine clocks and watches in and had their own names printed on the dials. You could enquire if the BHI or their watchmaking equivalent for further help.
