Even though I have new bionic eyes that give me perfect long distance vision, I can see sod-all closer than about 100cm without reading glasses.

This makes SMD assembly almost impossible - just very very hard.

So, invested (not a lot) in an Andonstar ADSM302 digital microscope - they're on Banggood at a really good price - delivery to UK was about 2 weeks.

EEVBLOG really rate this unit and I can see why. very very good. Right chuffed. Have HDMI output so I can drive one of my monitors too...

I paid about GBP 145 delivered - at the moment it's around 200 quid, but Bangood change their prices and have offers all the time - it's worth watching...

Yep, that has extra lighting over mine, but silly for what they cost.
