It looks very much like the audio standard forum have made it compulsory to disable your ad blocker if you want to view the site...

It's Proboards that puts all the advertising on that forum - it's nothing to do with the site owners.
I keep my ad blocker on, and whilst there are annoying "can we have a chat?" messages appearing at the bottom of the page, if you don't click on the message nothing else happens.
Proboards are very keen for end users to purchase freedom from advertising, but as far as I'm concerned they can go swivel
TAS works fine, and there's no compulsion to disable your ad blocker.
