A very enjoyable read Mark; thanks for posting it
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

Have you ever come across an Elektromekano valve, Steve ?

You're talking to a guy who lived Meccano for 10 years. I once built a bus with an automatic gearbox .... :D

I'm impressed Mark, in my day you where lucky to get 4 wheels in a set never mind any form of motor.
