Northern Power House unlike soft southern Jessie.

Never mind the quality, feel the width.

235V spot on through this baby!
You can't change how people treat you or what they say about you. All you can do is change how you react to it.

But you're answering a different question; the topic is 'What's your mains voltage ?'
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

David's got a point, Ray.. nothing wrong with that. So far it looks like Ed is the alpha male in this contest.
Sorry, now I remember it wasn't a contest ( D'Oh ! ) ... what have done here ?

I'm not suggesting he hasn't got a point Mark, just observing that he answered a different question.IslandPink wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 10:41 pm David's got a point, Ray.. nothing wrong with that. So far it looks like Ed is the alpha male in this contest.

Any decent ups will allow you to adjust the output voltage and to monitor power factor etc. Most commercial ones also do environment monitoring and have SNMP support.
With an on-line ups, the quality of the inverter output is the deciding factor, i.e. the harmonic content.
Decent UPSs are now very reasonably priced and output regulation and filtering is generally very good indeed if the unit is truly built to current regulations.
If you want to pay a lot of money for a unit in a shiny box, do so, but if you're happy with matt black, get a SmartUPS or similar. You're unlikely to notice the difference, except in your wallet The PS Audio P20 in the above photo costs around USD 10K - At its heart is a completely bog standard online ups. The spec states that it has a pure sine wave output (no thd quoted) which is technically impossible - there must be harmonic content.
A similarly specced 2KVA online ups from a reputable manufacturer is about $1500 or less.
It's not about the packaging...
FWIW, I have 2x 160kva Liebert APM on-line UPSs backed by a 410kva SDMO generator set supplying my on premise demesne. The battery packs alone weigh 4 tonnes...
Mind you, that setup cost about $200k...
They are proper monsters... a bit over the top for the sitting room...

Probably fit in DtB’s shed though, now he’s moved the Bullet.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Don't think it is, last time I looked the PS audio units worked by comparing the incoming mains with a ideal reference then adding or subtracting as required from the source mains to achieve the reference on the output. It may only need to provide 10% or less of the actual power transmitted so it can live without the fans that a conventional UPS would need.At its heart is a completely bog standard online ups.

The bit I really liked was the reference to "holographic imaging".
