Sounds like lower numbers of people didn't mean any less of an enjoyable day

Thanks for the thanks everyone....
It was a good weekend in my books
There was as much chatting as listening going on and a lot of learning too..
I really enjoyed the weekend

Thanks to you all who brought equipment, which without the effort involved, the meet would be pointless
The Sunday turned out to be a really good day with some good kit brought.
From Johns really nice super expensive 845 amps to cardboard open baffles... what a contrast
And it was good to meet some new faces
Thanks to you all.

I reckon they'd be great with a 45 or PX4 amp.
Your welcome to try a couple of px4s Steve.... the px4 is the better valve out of the two...
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

There does seem to be some sort of pattern developing with Owston.
Somewhere around 6pm to 7pm on Saturday Nick will play a full Soft Machine album , people will drift away and Neal will go out in the car park and rant about it.
Luckily I was one of the remaining audience :D

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day out, and as always for me, I was supplied a few avenues to investigate further, to eek a little more out of the kit.
There was great talk and explanations of how items function, and how there shortcomings in design can be overcome.
A lot for a novice like me to take on, but will be remembered, a experienced individual, looking for inspiration, I would assume if they were hearing the supplied info for the first time, would have been very interested.
Thank you all for making it happen again.
Steve forgot to add one small detail about the 845's, " Bloody Heavy "

Nick will play a full Soft Machine album
It was only one track?

I'll meet you half-way : it was two tracks, ie. one LP !

Great to meet everyone yesterday and had a really good day.

Thanks for bringing all the kit. Some hugely inspiration equipment there, including some on not huge budgets.

Cheers.

My thanks to Steve S for organising yet another successful Owston. :)

It's a pity that the attendee numbers were down, but in effect it made the proceedings more relaxed, and in depth regarding equipment demos.

Of particular interest to me were the new speakers on display. All were good, but my particular favourites for sound quality and value for money were the 12" triaxial Fanes from Steve Cresswell.

Also noteworthy was the difference Ed's amp made to Little Eddy's system, it really did improve and made those small Italian speakers sound a lot better.

Also, thanks to those who took the time to chat with me, much appreciated, it's what makes Owston special.

Sorry I couldn't be there, was still in Wales, originally wanted to finish the tour at Owston but got all too complicated, too much to do too little time.
