Any idea what kind of date you'd be looking at?

May be a bit early for me as I'm still waiting for a couple of bits from China.

I'd like to bring the Bigbottle up for a listen. Not a competitive listen, just interested in how it sounds next to Nick's benchmark phonostage, The MFA.

The next Yorkshire Hi-Fi Club meeting will take place Saturday 26th January.

Usual venue Brook Audio, Huddersfield.

Kick off around 10.30-11.00.

This time its bring any kit you want to hear, no particular theme.

For anyone who has not been before there is no parking outside the shop but there is long term free parking with a 10-15 minute walk afterwards.

You can park for free in Tescos next door but only for 2 hours.

The railway station is 1 minutes walk away.

#504 HEDD speakers

Post by iansr »

Adam is a very well established and respected brand in the pro world with some crossover into domestic hi fi. A couple of years ago the chief designer left and with his son set up HEDD. Since then their studio monitors ( which all use an AMT in a waveguide) have been causing a bit a sensation amongst audio engineers and other studio professionals. They are now about to debut their flagship model, the Tower Main which is aimed at both the pro and domestic markets. I suspect it’s going to be rather good. I’ve been talking to the UK distributor and he would be happy to bring a pair along to a future meeting and get feedback from a hi fi orientated audience. If there is interest I am happy to make the arrangements. These are active speakers BTW.

Just a note for anyone attending my next meeting on the 26th.

Please feel free to bring along a few of your favourite LP's (vinyl) as there will be something rather special in residence, all I ask is you have cleaned it properly, you vinyl I mean obviously!

Firstly,
I really hope the weather holds, allowing for a safe journey, as I have been looking forward to attending.

Secondly,
With the special Vinyl replay device on board, is the day leaning toward a vinyl replay day, as I am trying to get a few Phonostages up for a Demo, but don't want to contribute to unbalancing the 'Bring a Device' Theme for the day. I can quite happily wait for a Phonostage Day to do this.

Thirdly,
If of interest, I have a unopened Led Zepplin, 'How the west was Won' Vinyl/CD Box set, would anybody want to hear this ?

I'll come over and see what's happening.

Coming by train so can't really bring anything.
