Somerset would be quite a drive to Owston. I see where the M5 passes close to Worcester so let me know where to meet you and what time. I have access to a car.

If you come from Somerset do you sound like Rambling Syd Rumpo?

Yikes! You never said. I lived in Hampshire once, just 3/4 mile over the bridge from Berkshire.

Hi Ray.

Any thoughts? The obvious place to pick you up would seem to be Strensham services on the M5. There is a footbridge across the motorway so you would be able to get back to your car after I drop you off. Not sure how much parking would be for you though if you left your car at the services all day?

P.S. I'm down in Malvern! Just up from Upton. Wonderful place-Yippee!

Hi Ray

Looking at the map it appears that the north-bound services are separated from the south-bound services by about 1/2 mile, so I don't think the footbridge would work.

If I might make a suggestion, the next exit to the north is at Whittington and there is a pub there called the Swan. It appears to have a large car park and I suspect if I ask nicely, they will let me park the car there, particularly if I promise to have a beer there on my return.

Are you going both days or just the one?

Hi Andrew,

Perhaps we could meet up for a libation sometime. And if you are willing, you could show off your system. I will be in Upton from the end of May until the end of the first week of July doing a house exchange.

I will be driving up from Devizes, Wiltshire on the Friday via the Fosse Way route if anyone wants a lift, driving back on the Sunday afternoon.
