Top Fuel rules mandate pushrod two valve engines. Nothing to do with engineering advantages.all top fuel dragsters use pushrods..in the yank car tuning world pushrods rule..can get 1500 bhp from the ls3 motor

yes and this is why the pushrod motors rule in the yank car world..ffs 8000 bhp is amazing..
more valves , more cams equals more problems when it goes wrong..
chevys new camaro is still a pushrod motor..
plus u get a different kinda sound and power delivery with a bigger block pushrod motor..more growl..great engines for the working man to tune in his garage..
this is the beauty of yank cars..everything is easy to work on..I LOVE THEM..if u bought a 2016 mustang gt last year u could sell it now for 3k more then u paid for it. 9 month waiting list in blighty for them..outselling the 911 aswell in germany..ford cant make them quick enough
here yank cars loose almost nothing..i sold my 2010 mustang gt at a 1k loss after 2 years ownership..i sold in within 2 hours of putting the advert up..all my stangs sold instantly and the same day..my new one i may loose a little in 2 years..maybe 3k..peanuts in the car world that

Must admit the Chevrolet LS 6.2 V8 engines are rather nice, with alloy block and heads. Indeed the brand new Chevrolet crate engines are rather reasonable in price.
The only thing I'd be wary of is the powdered metal con rods, although they are good for 430 HP @ 6000 RPM.

Those "cocks" who treat public highways as racetracks might, but most modern cars are safe enough these days.

what annoys me phil is on programs like top gear all they think about is how fast it is or how it goes round corners.
i dont buy a car for that and nore do most people..how does the car drive on say a 6 hour road trip or what does it feel like in traffic..
speed is not important ffs..i have never driven faster than 120 mph in a car...bikes are different ofc ...

Very true. It's not the ultimate road holding or performance that make a car enjoyable. The cars I had the most fun driving were the Rover 16, a very hot minivan that a mate of mine had, a kit car I built in the 70s ( http://www.thepippin.plus.com/Misc/ranger1.jpg ) and a beach buggy.
I just bought a 2007 Honda Civic diesel. It's beautifully built, unexpectedly rapid, warm, comfortable and reputedly reliable. But I couldn't call it fun.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

You will notice that when the Stig did a proper fast lap there was very little tyre smoke or excess oversteer.

Be nice to try it for a mile or so, but too radical for normal use.Rudolph Hucker. wrote:https://www.blocket.se/stockholm/Boss_h ... ?ca=10&w=3
