It's a good training road that one. Also you can get in the car and steer it without the engine on - no power-steering, for a useful upper-body workout !

Ta for the kind offer Ray but I've got a pair of drops on standby from when your chum Mr Capsey was the owner of...errr... Capsey. It came fitted with drops but the brakes are round the wrong way for me and tape needs re-doing so I've removed them and fitted my fave conventional flat bars but I've still got some drops to 'play' with when I get the inclination (and bar tape, and can actually bend forward far enough over my bunter-pod to reach the handlebars).
Snorks! Is that even legal between consenting adults?
The Denbigh Arms to Halifax?! Harsh! I'm not sure your that career change you underwent and becoming a personal trainer was a wise move
Good riding, well done MrP.

My mate Derek, who's a professional bike mechanic, fitted my new stem, bars and saddle to my new bike today. Also checked everything else, indexed the gears etc. so I'm ready to go for its maiden ride.
Looks nice so I'll wait for when the roads are dry - don't want to get it dirty!
New bars and stem with colour coordinated tape;
Nice chunky bottom bracket ;

Both'll bite yer bum!
I took Capsey out for a short winter blast. We rode out to a cafe near Brands Hatch and back, cycling up the famous Death Hill showed how out of practise I am but we did it. Bit nippy and blowy but lovely to be out again.

That's what I suspected - too much time spent with bikes with engines, why they come equipped with footrests!Dave the bass wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 5:07 pm I have shaped quite nicely. Unfortunately its this shape
