Good effort, and hope things get back in the groove for you Ray. Still only May, after all.
I had to sort out the bike before I went out - after last weekend's blow-out - before I was able to get on the thing.
First I had to deal with a back tyre that looked like this :
Which was a bit amazing, I thought the inner tube had failed near the valve, or something. However, even odder was that the inner tube hadn't burst near this gash - somewhere else. Still trying to work this one out.
Anyway I spend about two hours finding a new tyre and inner tube, fitting that on, as well as cleaning up the sprockets, chainrings and chain, re-oiling & getting it all fettled.
So, around 4:30 I went for a great ride , weather was just superb . Stats were 1:17 @ 141bpm. Felt a bit stronger than last time, have been sleeping better ( I think due to more calcium supplements ) , it's odd that the pulse tends to be higher ( and the perceived effort less ) when things are going well. I took the minor lanes today via villages like Llangynhafal and Hirwaen, back via Gellifor. This is what it should be all about !
