Good stuff !
Talking of oblivion ... well, I went out yesterday for a 45min warm-up, that was useful.
Today I decided to go out South-West into the 'here be dragons' roads up onto the Denbigh moors. I don't normally go up that way on account of my porkiness, but I thought with 30x24 and 30x27 it would be manageable - and not too far from home. How wrong can you be ?
Well I went as far as the North end of the Brenig reservoir, route was via Prion, then back via Saron and some vicious little gradients to the East of that before heading North for home. It was certainly a work-out, I saw 175bpm at one point.

Managed my Strava 100k May challenge yesterday with a nice ride up the back of Frodsham and back through Delamere. Nice views over the Dee estuary.
TD-125/RB250/MC25FL & 'Snail' phono, NAS/SBT with CS4398 DAC, 41MP pre & MoFo Power, still messing with OBs.

100km this month already? Or was that 100km in a single ride? Very nice! Well done.little eddy wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 10:14 am Managed my Strava 100k May challenge yesterday with a nice ride up the back of Frodsham and back through Delamere. Nice views over the Dee estuary.

There are a few challenges this month. This is a single 100k ride they call the Gran Fondo.
Has anyone thought of a Strava Group so you don't have to post stats for individual rides?

Yes, I've suggested it a couple of times but no takers - happy to try again. I'm already on Strava, as is Nick (Jack).little eddy wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 10:59 am There are a few challenges this month. This is a single 100k ride they call the Gran Fondo.

I've been reluctant to do the Gran Fondo ride under the Covid scenario but maybe I'll follow your lead - longest ride in April was around 40miles.
Good rides everyone. I was out yesterday (32miles and 1500ft) and plan to go later today though it's currently drizzling.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

62.2 miles. I had to stop and check this so I could moniior on my Garmin. It meant a couple of small detours going home to ensure that I made the distance.

I would be up to join a group (Strava- Mike Head).
I did set one up for our ski holiday group so can initiate if you want.

I've set up a 'Club' on Strava. I've made it 'join by invitation only'...
Current membership is Nick (Jack) and myself. If you would like to join let me know your Strava name (or, I assume, number) and I'll send you an invite.
Nick, if you want out let me know.

I looked up 'Mike Head' on Strava and it was a guy in Plymouth?

If you don't use a smartphone or GPS bike computer you can enter ride data into Strava manually, though the adage 'if it's not recorded it didn't happen' may apply on occasions...
Having said that, it is 2020.
