big trouble at planet hermes at the mo........
I ordered a collection yesterday and paid and got a receipt and notification that courier would be with me today.....
half an hour ago I thought Id track it with the number they gave me.....
transpires it was picked up at 10:13 this morning.....yeah right!....I have it in my hand..
I've tried to get hold of them but it's Saturday....oh waily waily
This get's worse...
My eldest' father in law sent me his hi-end laptop to repair last Friday via, you guessed it, Hermes.
It arrived this evening(18:30) while I was busy so Sandrine brought it in from the porch(it wasn't signed for) and left it in the doorway to the work room.
I've just got round to looking at it........the box fell open as I was inspecting it, and it's empty, just packing paper inside.......
I've just checked the emails that Hermes sent and the last one says package delivered at 18:30 signed for by recipient.
As there is no way of contacting Hermes I've raised a case with resolver.co.uk.....
anybody got any further suggestions?
big waily waily!!!!
I've got the final word on this from Hermes. After I'd been down the police route and the sender had been badgering hermes all this time..they've finally announced to the sender that laptops are not covered by Hermes service......this after they had accepted his insurance cover payment at the same time knowing precisely what the package contained.
I am of the opinion that Hermes were responsible for that package and it was stolen while in their care, by one of their employees......and they are not interested.....I'm certainly not going to use them again.
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be

...Have to say, with the sound we're getting now, I'd put the combination of the big Mets and the big OTLs up against any reference system, any day. I continue to be stunned at how well these work, without having to be in the middle of the room.
As you know Dave, my pet hate is speakers that have to be in the middle of the room to work. I always design speakers to work near to walls.

I just came across this listing on ebay - for me it predates nostalgia as only being five at the time I had no awareness of such places - don't think we even had a record player at the time;
I bet they are for sale for a while at those prices Ray, I have most of the hi fi year books, which although seem expensive, look a bargain in comparison
The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number
Currently there are three (that I know of) Ebay accounts that have been hacked, and just under 9,000 (nine thousand) fraudulent listings for cars, classic cars, motorcycles, boats, commercial vehicles, farm equipment ETC.
I report some of each hacked account to Ebay as fraudulent sales bur sometimes it takes days before the listings are removed.

What connects:
1. The Dixie Chicks
2. The gravitational constant
And before anyone says it, it's NOT because they say "G" a lot...
Ok. I give up. What’s the answer?
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
