Nothing In Particular
#11146 Re: Nothing In Particular
Congrats Shane. I suggest buying a space saver wheel kit, I did for my car. Comes in a bag with a jack and breaker bar.
Just had one of the worst winter drives ever. Am doing a first aid course at Newcastle so am travelling from Galashiels. Most of the drive back was a whiteout, the road keeps climbing until you pass the border. Luckily I caught up with a plough otherwise I’d never have made it, as it was I fishtailed most of the way up the hill.
What I’ve learned from this is either-
A) The snow tyres I bought are crap
B) Even with snow tyres, BMW’s are rubbish in the snow.
Journey should take 1.75 hours. Took me 3.5.

Already scouring eBay!
True, I’m only talking about a Devon winter. They do things properly where you are!
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

I could have told you thatEven with snow tyres, BMW’s are rubbish in the snow
They are much worst without the snow tyres,

I stayed in Galashiels for a couple of days, back in 1991. Does that make me a spaceman ?

Ah, you must be doing the Kessel spice run then.
Ever done it in less than 20 Parsecs?

Just thought that this was cool...
German artist Simon Weckert tricked Google Maps into thinking there was a massive traffic jam by pulling around a cart with 99 smart phones in it...
So, anyone using Google Maps as their GPS route planning system was routed away from the area he was in... Result? Empty roads in the centre of town
