I'm sure Maplin had one of these, when I started working there.

oh waily...I've just been reminded by James that I can't remember anything about siklai pairs and cascodes from 2 or 3 years ago...now I've got to send the memory machine back to 1974........If it's george you're playing with you might try:
ln :manager
or
ln : system
or
ln:operators
one of these accounts might let you in without a user or password....
if it's not george you're on your own....have fun

A little while ago we had a WW2 aircraft do a few fly-pasts overhead. It looked like a Spitfire, but did not sound like one.
I rushed in and fired up Flight Radar, but it did not show up. Strange 'cos light aircraft and helicopters usually do.

'Televisions Opening Night - How The Box Was Won' is being repeated. Originally broadcast in 2016 for the 80th anniversary. It's a bit cringeworthy but you can see some great characters. Lily, the irrepressible dancer who appeared on TV in 1937. Prof Danielle George presenting.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Sea Fury. My all-time favourite plane.

Very nice, but not as nice as a Spitfire 24 with its wonderful RR Griffon;
But for me, a just about perfect blend of elegance and brutality comes in the shape of the Westland Wyvern;

Just got an amazon delivery of a mechanical keyboard. Daughter wanted one for some reason, apparently, they are better for pc gaming as the keys have better feel.
So what does it feel like to use one?
Using it brought back memories of the BBC microcomputers we used to use at school! And the Amiga home computer a friend of mine had back in 1991.
I dont pc game myself, but typing on it was a completely different tactile experience that I quite liked
