Later add to basket worked, so managed to order some sleeving and wire as a 'guest'.

Another EL509 valve gave up the ghost literally 5 minutes before the England v Sweden match started and I'd run out of spare valves, so I had to watch it on crappy TV speakers, which are just the worst speakers in the world. OK so the fact we won two nil took some of the sting out but the experience would have been better with an OTL amp.

Monday I go to Hot Rox and re-valve the whole damned thing.

Treat yourself, she's excellent Solo or with a band. Seen her in both, learn all the words to 'Willow' and she'll be most grateful.

Steam punk sculpture at the Cholmondeley Arms guest house, Cheshire.

The bottle is a vintage gin bottle. Top left is a radiator bleed valve, not sure what the rest of it is made of. The bulb is a modern low-energy one.

Thursday morning (last) I had a few deep rumblings in the tum department, and in the afternoon, after my walk, the rumbling turned nasty.

Seems like it was a case of food poisoning.

Anyway, after 3 days of living on water, and the occasional bit of toast, I'm actually feeling better now. It's not very nice having to be within 20 paces of the bog 24 hours a day.

Then my laptop screen went tits up, but fortunately the hard drive works in one of my spare desktops.

Life goes on. :)

It's this damned weather.
The never changing, washed out oddness of the light, the burned out deadness and dustiness is like something out of a Lovecraft novel.

Make it stop.

On the plus side, you’re probably a couple of pounds lighter, and which of us can say that’s not a good thing?
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

As much as 20 paces?

My digestive system has been all to cock as well, pretty sure it's just the hot weather, as I have been affected like that before. Alternating between constipation (3 days last time[!]) and er, the opposite...

Stupidly hot today, now >27 Celcius in my lounge.

Thinking of doing that Scotland camping trip I was thinking of earlier, good chance may be cooler up there.

Still I haven't needed to mow the grass lately, it's dead.

In fact when I was coming back from Cheshire last week, I could see all the grass everywhere is dead.
