You want bad James? Take a gander at this: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/twin-aud ... e-amp.html
God help (and I mean that literally, and sincerly) anybody who buys that.
Decades old sold core wire with waxed cloth insulation, not intended even when new for high current applications. Self confessed to be 'very hard' due to its age. Being used for a power lead. He's going to kill somebody.

Quite, because he may well end up needing one. At best, it's stark raving lunacy.

I'm speechless!!!
When I was a boy on weekends I help my father replacing the lead mains wiring in old houses. The rubber and waxed cloth covered conductors in those would break down and crumble when the wires were moved... and this was back in the late sixties - now another 50 years later - deadly - literally deadly.
I fear the layers won't be able to help the people who use these wires...

Not arf Mike!!! Not arf...
Helping Dad as a ten year old was great fun and he was extremely careful with what I did. I never got a shock whilst working with him but we did see sparks fly on more than one occasion!

But but !!...it'll be fine , because :
"Mr. Lu has enriched knowledge and experience to make power cords"
The more he makes, the more he is increasingly "enriched"

Thank heaven for that. I had a few irons in the fire as it were, both with the forum & privately, trying to get it removed & them to stop making those things before the inevitable happened. I suspect a few other guys were too. That's what I call a result.
