Might have fixed it......

Last night's little jaunt, I used the main save power switch to off and whacked up the resolution on the S8+.

I also hug out an ancient S2 ( tiny!) charged it up installed Ride and as was jumped on the bike for a tortuous ten round the houses.

This time both worked. The S2 disagreed by half a mile with the S8+ but it's done that before with the S2note.

More in a mo,breakfast has arrived.

Both phones agreed on the route and the map showed I stayed on the roads rather than crashing thro buildings etc etc. They disagreed only on actual distance covered.

Thus morning the S6 and S8+ both with power save switched off performed the same as each other agreeing on everything. So prob might be solved.

The S2 note and S5 just do Ride reliably and well without having to switch on or off anything.

At present then, the S8+ ( fab battery life) is on probation. Battered and tired as the S5 is, the latter phone I trust.

Onwards!

Deep joy! I set off cautiously for a coffee somewhere, probably Danish Camp. Instead it was Barford before I could blink the A1 oops and Tempsford, got held up by two trains, cut back to Sandy and swept into Shuttleworth for lunch (21 miles).

Amazing bi-planes and things and a delicious mocha coffee( Too much hot chocolate tbh), just sitting and relaxing. Back to Moggerhanger and the river back into Bedford next.

The Samsung S8+ is behaving itself but I have to switch off the energy saving switch.

Bit too much wind to be perfect but it's all rather nice.

By keeping well away from it! I re- crossed the A1 at the A603, which was quieter than usual and scampered down to Shuttleworth. I left there late, got talking to an engineer who chuntered on too much about the Spitfire they are building- Wow.

The rain and wind came down. This spoiled things a little and my chosen route was twice as long as needed to be so to home was 14 miles.

Which adds up to 35 & 1/2 miles. Quite enough for one day.

I have a muddy bike.

Bath time - hooray for PV panels!

Short of time this morning so I just did my usual 20mile out and back. Took a bit of motivation as I just seem to be a bag of aches and pains at the moment but once out on the bike I felt much better and went well.
