Yes definitely :( , just saw it.
A class act. The OGWT footage of him when he first cam eon the scene, is great.

Thats sad news.

What an amazing legacy of songs though, he was a brilliant songwriter IMO. That period from 1971 to 1974, kerrikey, he was a hot cookie, so simple in some ways but so deep in soulfulness.

I like what he did 'over' a really common chord progression on this...


Having a killer band didn't do any harm, just Bill singing over James Gadson's drumming on this is 'song' enough for me.
I love the way he just seems to piston pump the acoustic guitar all the way through the song expressing the joy of absolute true love whilst the band are grooving away like a mega sticky toffee pudding groove making machine behind him and putting the magical sauce on top of the pudding, they even do fade outs together!

R.I.P. Bill, I'm a fan of yours.
