#1 SME buys Garrard name rights

I'm not certain these articles are correct in their assertion that the brand was acquired from Gradiente. I thought Terry O'Sullivan of Loricraft bought the brand rights in the early 90's, so Garrard has been a British brand for over 25 years. The article also mentions SME's aquisition of Loricraft so I'd have thought the rights would have been obtained through that transaction - Gradiente shouldn't even be in the picture at this point?

Then again, I'm not a brand rights lawyer (if I was, I'd be able to afford a 501) so what do I know.

SME has also acquired West Berkshire-based Loricraft Audio, the only authorised company to service, rebuild and provide manufacturing support for Garrard products since 1997.
I hope Terry gets a good retirement payout from that deal, he deserves it.
Whenever an honest man discovers that he's mistaken, he will either cease to be mistaken or he will cease to be honest.
