Oh no, one of 'mine'. Thats very sudden bad news :(

So long you little Purple genius Nutcase, 1st time I went to see you and thought to myself smugly 'yer gonna be crap' and came away stunned. 2nd time you had the nerve to be even better than before :)

Wow I'd heard he'd been taken ill and a plane he was on had to make an emergency landing?

Was never a massive fan but thought he was OK. Still often played on Radio 2 etc.

Now that was a shock. I just finished off the evening by spinning "Ballad of Dorothy Parker" from my vinyl copy of Sign O The Times which I bought in 1988 at the age of 16. There aren't going to be any famous people left at this rate.

There was a film about that.

Logan's Run?
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

It's always sad when a popular entertainer dies.

But to be honest, I could not name anything he ever sang.

Didn't know how many other artists songs he'd written ... if you see what I mean ... for exampe only just found out he wrote The Bangles' hit 'Manic Monday'

Radio 2 been playing some examples today.

Also I didn't know Prince was his real name. As named by his dad who was also an accomplished musician.

That may say more about you than Prince though :-)
