You lucky sod! I went to the Science Museum once when I was 10 and have not yet been able to make it back there. (Living as I do OOp 'ere in the frozen North)

You've rekindled my interest to make the effort, after all twice in 40 years is not too often is it?

Cheers,
Tony

My parents took me there when i was a kid, and i loved it. They had to drag me away from the place when they got tired.
I took my own kids there a few years ago and was disappointed that very little seemed to impress them.
Sadly, technology appears to be taken for granted by many youngsters these days.
They are only concerned with whether they can afford to buy stuff in the shops, and have no interest in how it got there.
Most teenagers cannot understand why i make anything. They usually say "why don't you just go out and buy it".
Probably a trade off of living in an affluent society.
Doesn't give me too much hope for the future. :(

Don't start with that one :-).

There was loads there to keep me occupied (but then I'm a simply sort anyway...I love watching traffic lights change colour ) .

The history of Rocket propulsion was brilliant too, inspired enough to make me want to play with some at home.

Cheers for the tip-off Darren, I'll stick to 490V DC HT's on Valve amps then :D

Skateboarding isn't dangerous by the way, falling off is

Ha, that's sorta what I told my mother when I bought another motorbike 20yrs ago.

The problem was I hadn't been able to walk unaided for two years after stopping quicker than it was designed for.
She had a slight problem with my decision you might say

Life is about living I told her.
Not worrying about how long you might live it :D
